RIVETHEAD - DOOMSDAY FOR OPTIMISM(UNSIGNED 2012)

This is Rivetheads 6th full length studio album, and just like the prior albums all self financed and produced by the band themself,Rivethead is from Dallas,Texas and in this bloggers opinion one of the largest diamonds in the ruff that the state of Texas has to offer, and that I own all their CDs says a lot,Fronted by Singer/sonwriter Steve Page from Stotfold,England and surrounded by some of the best talent I have ever seen or heard in Kevin(Ed Harley)Kerr Guitarist and personal friend of mine,Generic Derek James on Bass and Mark Halford on drums,Rivethead combines all elements into their music to create the perfect form Electro Industrial metal and has had me wondering for quite sometime now as to why no one has ever signed them, with the huge cult following they have in the Dallas metro area and In New Mexico,In my opinion they are one of hardest working bands in the business today and have one of the best sounds I have ever heard.........Below is a Link to one of their videos on YouTube........You listen and form your own opinion....................

RUSH - CLOCKWORK ANGELS(2012 ROADRUNNER RECORDS)

RUSH Clockwork Angels is a return to their beginnings of Progressive rock,Clockwork Angels is the upcoming 19th studio album by Canadian rock band RUSH. The album was recorded at Blackbird Studio in Nashville, Tennessee and Revolution Recording in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and is set to be released on June 12, 2012.

Two songs that would eventually appear on the album, "Caravan" and "BU2B", were released to radio stations and made available for online digital purchase on June 1, 2010.Following the release of these two songs, the band embarked on the Time Machine Tour in 2010 and 2011. The tour featured the first live performances of "Caravan" and "BU2B" as part of the nightly set list. Clockwork Angels was completed following this tour. The album's second single, titled "Headlong Flight", was released on April 19, 2012.

Headlong Flight in my opinion is the cornerstone of this RUSH masterpiece, and shows a bit of a heavier side from this legendary trio, and along with the rest of CD,it is truly one one their finest releases to date and proves that 44 years later that they are just as good as the day they started,Now mind you I may be a bit biased in this review being that they are without a shadow of a doubt my favorite band of ALL-TIME.............with that being said I highly recommend going out on June 12,2012 and buying a copy of this CD.(Credits on this review go to Wikipedia)
